Redline Racing are ready to ‘take the power’ this season as they partner with leading energy drink company Eighty-One Powerdrink, who will be the title sponsor for rising stars Scott McKenna and Matty Graham in the 2020 Porsche Carrera Cup GB. Born in Switzerland, Eighty-One Powerdrink is a young and dynamic company with global success across Europe, USA and Africa. Making their first move into British motorsport, their focus on high quality, performance and reliability fits perfectly with the Porsche Carrera Cup GB. Racing in distinctive black and gold liveried Porsche’s will be two hugely exciting young racers from the North East of England, with McKenna (North Yorkshire) and Graham (Northumberland) both making their Porsche Carrera Cup GB debuts this season. McKenna enters the series with confidence high after being crowned the Ginetta GT5 Challenge champion last season. The 18 year old, who was recently named a BRDC Rising Star, won the title with a superb record of ten podium finishes including six victories. Graham meanwhile makes an exciting return to racing after over two years away. Starting his career in single-seaters as a multiple race-winner in BRDC British F4, he tackled Formula Renault in Europe before moving into GT competition and taking two GT4 class wins in British GT in 2017. "Our pre-season testing is currently underway. The Porsche 911 GT3 Cup Car is new to me so the learning curve is steep but incredibly rewarding. I am enjoying the new challenges this car and championship will provide and look forward to the season ahead.” Matty Graham: “I couldn’t be more excited to join the Porsche Carrera Cup GB. I’ve heard great things about the championship and the racing has always impressed me when watching on TV, so I couldn’t think of many better series to be making my racing return in. “I’m incredibly grateful to Simon at Redline and Eighty-One Powerdrink for this opportunity and I’m determined to take full advantage of it. Having been out of racing for a couple of years, I’m hungrier than ever to succeed and I want to go out there and win the title at the first attempt.” The 2020 Porsche Carrera Cup GB will be contested at the best circuits in the UK, all in support of the British Touring Car Championship with live television coverage on ITV4. The opening two events have been postponed due to COVID-19, with it hoped the action will begin in May.
