Breakell Racing Enter 2023 British Endurance Championship With Mercedes-AMG GT4

Breakell Racing are expanding their GT racing programme this season with a full-time entry into the British Endurance Championship with their Mercedes-AMG GT4.

The Clitheroe based team entered professional GT4 racing for the first-time last season with the acquisition of their Mercedes; a proven contender in the category having been guided to success in championships across the globe in recent years.

A productive and successful learning year saw the team make huge progress with the car and enjoy strong race performances in the UK and abroad, including a pair of outings in the Britcar Endurance Championship at Silverstone and Donington Park.

With that experience under their belt, the team are ready to challenge for top honours in the BEC’s competitive GT4 class this year, with an exciting driver pairing signed up and set to be announced in due course ahead of the season opener on the Silverstone Grand Prix circuit (25th March).

James Breakell - Team Principal: “We’re delighted to have put a package together to compete in the British Endurance Championship this season. After getting to grips with our Mercedes-AMG GT4 last year, we’re ready to go out there and challenge for some big results.

“We’ve got a quick pairing to race the car and we’re confident they’ll be a competitive force in the championship, so we look forward to announcing them soon and showcasing an exciting new livery on the car. We’ve begun a testing programme ahead of the opening round and we’re all looking forward to this upcoming campaign.”

The British Endurance Championship runs to a successful multi-class format, covering numerous specifications of vehicle including GT3, GT4, TCR and one-make cup cars. The Motorsport UK-sanctioned championship visits all of the UK’s premier circuits, with every race streamed live online.
