John Bennett Switches To JHR Developments For 2024 GB3 Championship

John Bennett is returning for a third season in the GB3 Championship this year, linking up with reigning Teams’ champions JHR Developments for a title challenge in the UK’s premier single-seater category.

After putting in a number of impressive displays across his first two seasons in the championship, including a couple of podium finishes and pole positions, the Salisbury-based racer is ready to push forward and becoming a regular front-running threat in the upcoming campaign.

Bennett’s move to JHR Developments sees him partnering with one of the most exciting single-seater teams in the UK. Alongside winning the GB3 Teams’ crown and scoring five race wins in 2023, they are also former Drivers’ and Teams’ champions in the F4 British Championship.

The 20-year-old talent has already enjoyed some successful test days with the Derbyshire-based team and has more running planned to ensure he will hit the ground running for the opening rounds at Oulton Park in Cheshire over Easter weekend (30 March-01 April).

John Bennett: “I’m really excited to be joining JHR Developments in the GB3 Championship for the 2024 season. They’re a great team full of very talented individuals, as shown by their results across the board in 2023, and things clicked instantly when I undertook my first test with them.

“A big thanks to Steven Hunter for this opportunity. With the experience I’ve gained over the past two seasons, I’m confident we can go out there and enjoy a successful year together, so I can’t wait to get the year underway.”

Steven Hunter, JHR Developments Team Principal: “We are really happy to welcome John to the team for the 2024 season. We had a strong season in the GB3 Championship last year, fighting for the Drivers’ title right to the final round, so we’ll be working hard with John to be at the front again.

“John has impressed us in testing not only with his pace on track and feedback off it, but also with his desire and dedication to succeed and challenge for the title. We’ll be putting in plenty of hours before the opening rounds at Oulton Park, ready to hit the ground running.”

The GB3 Championship will be contested over 24 races across eight events in 2024. An exciting calendar will see Bennett get to compete on no less than four current Formula 1 circuits, in Silverstone, Spa-Francorchamps, Hungaroring and Zandvoort.

Bennett will be racing with the continued support of loyal partners J5C Management Limited, StreetSharp Ltd, The Accounting Centre Ltd, Khan Thornton Ltd, Lonetree Limited, Lewco Holdings Limited and Project Divebomb.
