Team Redline Racing will once again be challenging for Am class silverware in the Porsche Sprint Challenge GB this season, having signed 2020 front-runners Peter Chambers and Nigel Rice for the upcoming campaign. Rice continues his long association with the Teesside squad following a successful run together in the inaugural season of the championship last year, while Chambers is a welcome addition to the line-up as part of a new partnership with Jordan Racing Team. 2020 marked an exciting reunion between Team Redline Racing and Rice. The Yorkshire based racer previously contested 100 races in the Porsche Carrera Cup GB with the team between 2004 and 2008, winning the Pro-Am class title on two occasions. Rice enjoyed a fantastic start last season in his Pallet Delivery backed Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport, scoring an Am class podium finish in each off the first four races. He later added five more top three results to his tally en-route to third in the final class standings. Chambers regularly went toe-to-toe with Rice on-track last year and secured his fair share of silverware along the way. In his distinctive blue and green Chambers Recycling machine, he scored four podium finishes including a brilliant victory at Donington Park. With our Pro class contender Jack Bartholomew alongside them, we’re confident that both Nigel and Peter will be picking up lots of silverware this season.” Introduced in 2020 as the latest addition to Porsche GB’s motorsport pyramid, the Sprint Challenge GB is a competitive one-make championship that utilises the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport machines, with a two-class format for Professional and Amateur drivers. The 2021 season is set to be contested over seven events, with three outings on each of the biggest race packages in the UK alongside the British Touring Car Championship and British GT Championship, as well as a headline slot in a Porsche Club GB meeting.
